On St. Prophet Ilia day (July 20th 2009) at the Ethnographic museum at Razgrad his Highreverend Archimadrite Emilyan, abbot of the Bessarabian monastery and eparchial counselor opened up an exhibition of orthodox photographs Orthphoto 2004-2009. Guests at the event were his High Reverential Cellarer Georgi Ivanov, vicar of the Razgrad district, his Reverential priest Dimitar Dimitrov, Angel Maldenov, secretary of the saint bishopric of Ruse, Ivan Ivanov, director of the Ethnographic museum of Razgrad and Atanas Dimitrov, coordinator of the Bulgarian division of the web site. The exhibition is dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the homonymous web site, in which are published photographs of the life of the Orthodox church institution around the world. The choir of St. Nicholas church with choir-master Krasen Ivanov performed chants with which they filled with joy the guest of the exhibition. After that all the guests joined the cocktail on the occasion of the exhibition. The exhibition includes part of the best and most popular photographs of the web site and it seems it is the most logical way of showing the value, beauty and influence of the orthodox Christian churches and traditions all over the world. The exposition is realized with the help of the Saint bishopric of Ruse, the church board of St. Nicholas church – Razgrad, Ethnographic museum – Razgrad and the coordinator of the Bulgarian division of the web site.
Everyone who wishes to participate will have the opportunity to attend the exhibition, which would be held at the Ethnographic museum in Razgrad until August 16th 2009.
